Isn't it time that the Official Site got its act together and made these things available other than at shows? It's a bit of a pisser as it is that anyone who was present at the gigs recorded can only relive the experience via the kindness of people here or some rather vicious ebay scalping, but when the former is saddled with taking huge wads of cash to gigs in order to meet a simple demand of an ever-rising supply, it's asking a lot of fans' generosity and time (because these things don't mail themselves out). Unfortunately you're right...

Hi, I don't know if you guys are aware of this cd but at the Voxhall gig in Denmark on Friday I bought the "Dark Mark Does Christmas 2012" cd. It's got 6 songs on it: The Chreey Tree Carol Down In Yon Forest O Holy Night We Three Kings Coventry Carol Burn The Flames It's not a live recording but sounds like you'd expect an ML xmas cd to sound like! Elisa are you serious?

Barrett Martin: To honor our departed brothers, Mike and I oversaw a Mad Season box set, which comes out March 12th, 2013. It contains the re-mastered Above album, the Moore concert on DVD with surround sound, and a bunch of live recordings that we never released. The most exciting stuff: three songs that Mark Lanegan wrote lyrics and sang on, songs that we started to record for the second album but never finished because of Baker’s and Layne’s deaths. One of the songs Peter Buck wrote with us, and the other two are from me and Mike. They are three of the heaviest and most beautiful songs Mad Season did, and I know Layne and Baker will love them. Forgive my ignorance, but is this thread hypothetical, or has another cover album been confirmed? Louder Than War blog interviewed Mark last month on the 28th. And this is what he said: LTW: And are you recording with Alain Johannes again?
ML: I’ve started recording some stuff with him, but I might do a record of covers too, that’s the other thing Iíve got going on. The record of covers I’m gonna make with the same guy (Martin Feveyear) who did I’ll Take Care Of You (Mark’s previous album of covers, released on Sub Pop in 1999) as producer and as many of the same musicians as I can use.

Bertrand share with Mark the love for JLP: he wrote a really beautiful song for Jeffrey called Song for JLP and took part in the JLP Sessions Project II with Rose's Blues. Was he the guy who murdered his girlfriend? Unfortunately he was. Marie Trintignant (a french actress) got killed in the 2003 during a brawl. It's a really sad story... I'm so glad to find on OW forum some Noir Désir fans...

Ok i didn't go check in the forum to see if someone had already posted about what courtney did. It happened a long time ago and if it's already mentioned then my bad. I'll tell you what i know and what courtney said. Kurt loved Mark a lot. He wrote a song for Mark called "talk to me" and nirvana has performed it 2 or 3 times. I'll grab a video of them doing it. I actually want to cover it myself but anyways..Kurt wrote it as a gift to Mark and he wrote another called "opinions" that he intended to give to Iggy Pop. Courtney thought it would be awesome to switch them and give Mark "opinions" and Iggy "talk to me" which makes 0 sense. I'll copy and paste what she said....:September 1994, Love said in an interview that it was Kurt's intention to give one of the songs, 'Talk To Me', to ex-Screaming Trees frontman Mark Lanegan and another, 'Opinion', to Iggy Pop."Love said in 1994: "The last songs he wrote are so beautiful. I figure since Kurt screwed me over by splitting, I'm switching. Iggy will have a hit anyway. Lanegan is great and Kurt loved him so much I'm going to give him 'Opinion' and Iggy gets 'Talk To Me' which is real cool."...NO IT ISN'T! It is not cool at all. Since he split on me i'm going to do the opposite of what he wanted and give things that are this special to the wrong people? What is wrong with her? She bothers me and i wish Mark had the song as Kurt intended because i know he'd do a great job with it. brandonwinmill thanks for the clarification. Anyway would be great listen this song on the new covers record: so Mark would come full circle.

I'm also a huge fan of Noir Désir He Was A Friend Of Mine Noir Désir and Dave Van Ronk: mimie you move me! Bertrand share with Mark the love for JLP: he wrote a really beautiful song for Jeffrey called Song for JLP and took part in the JLP Sessions Project II with Rose's Blues. Besides in the 2013 we'll get the upcoming film directed by Joel and Ethan Coen called Inside Llewyn Davis who tells the story of DVR and the Bertrand Cantat solo album... Yeah!

This is easy for me. I really really really want Mark to be able to sing "talk to me" since Kurt wrote it for him and then Courtney stole it and gave it to Iggy. I'm sure you all know the story. That is a song i think he should get to do and i have no idea why Courtney does what she does. She totally ruins everything. That story is completely new to me! brandonwinmill could you tell me more about this? Are there any interviews?

Harborview Medical Center (known as Harborview Hospital a long time ago when it was much smaller) resides on First Hill in Seattle, along with several other hospitals and medical centers over the years, resulting in First Hill also having the nickname Pill Hill. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Hill,_Seattle Pill Hill Serenade also refers to the time period when Mark lived on First Hill, so, yeah, you can draw a line linking the two songs. Thanks Grumpella! I need to know the meaning of Mark's lyrics...

I think that all the OW members interested could set up a buying group. We are in need of a contact person who raise money and then share the demo here.
We mustn't lose the opportunity of getting a so precious document (clearly if it's not a fake).
