I agree with rsinner, but I'm romantic about it too. Nevertheless, it's been a long time since Bubblegum came out, and I, personally, couldn't wait until the record reached my player to hear something off of it (I was too damn excited). I love this song! I especially like near the end of the song when Lanegan lets loose and goes "oh love, I've been thinking of you" mixed with those circus-y guitar tones... (Speaking of that guitar lick, no one has mentioned the circus weirdness going on there. I love the pummelling bass, but I also appreciate the guitar stuff and all the rest too) The whole thing is ssooooooooooo good! I'm even more amped for the album now; I wasn't sure if that was even possible.

I guess I'm just a bit romantic about it. It's sorta like not fucking a girl on the first date. Amen, brother! I don't feel silly one bit. And I am exceptionally paranoid of lightning and storms in general. I lived in Kansas for 6 years. So I think I am disaster prepared.  |

Well, I agree with anyone who said waiting for a copy on my turntable is silly but I'm a silly man and it's just how I prefer to listen to this music. That being said my copy of the single has unexpectedly arrived from Holland less than a week since it was sent and it's currently waiting for a needle to be dropped on it so...

After repeated listenings it seems to me that this song works more as an intro than as a proper song. Mind you, nothing wrong with that, and maybe that's the way Mark envisioned it, being the first track. But I could be wrong, of course. It's still a good track.

I can't, a friend of mine sent me the 45 minute interview she did with him yesterday and she asked him about it. BTW, he said he would tour Europe again in July and he'll probably play in France then! |

From the sound of it, he really was in good spirit, he's talkative and even laughs several times! It's gonna be a paper interview for a French mag, whenever it's released (probably in January) I'll give you a transcript, he's probably gonna make the cover too! (few snippets of info:he worked on a soundtrack with Nick Cave and Warren Ellis and wouldn't say anything about it but worked with QOTSA)
