I have just been told that the show scheduled for 18 November at Razzmatazz in Barcelona will be held on 16 November instead, at Sala Apolo. The club's website seems to confirm this, but I originally had a date at Oasis in Zaragoza for the 16th. Anyone from Spain on here who knows if he's playing Zaragoza, or where he's playing on the 18th now?

I don't know what the story was, and I could spend days speculating with each reason as plausible as the next. But I think I'm going to believe what my friend was told by stage security that night, because it's as good as any story I've heard. My friend asked a stage security guard (who was someone she knows), and he said, "The show had to be cancelled because a pigeon flew into Mark's head and stunned him."

The refund procedure for Tickets West is to mail them in. Often when a company is crediting back your card through a mail-in deal like this, it won't post until the next billing cycle - ie. if you got your credit card bill already and the credit wasn't on there, it's probably too early. It should be there on the next bill.
My friend had to do this once with Tickets West, and she said they actually refunded ALL her money, including any service charges, which other ticket sellers don't do. I'm hoping to see my credit on the next statement, too.

I don't want to make this forum cluttered, but it seemed two new sections might add rather than detract.
There is now a Forum FAQ for you to enjoy.
There is also a new board for people to post their show download links, so that a central collection place will exist for people to find them later. Please try to keep that board limited to the info people need - discuss the shows, etc. here as always!
Have fun.

Maybe you should have a FAQ that addresses that issue. Ask, and ye shall receive...

Each and every bandmember was at their best at that night and they made me send in my first review to onewhiskey ever. JulieP, I don't have it. I have yours, Dag, and hopefully will get it on there today, but I don't see any other reviews from that show. Please guys, keep sending them in, but do make sure your subject line has a relevant subject! If it says REVIEW, LYRICS, TOUR, SHOW, LANEGAN - anything like that, it will catch my eye. If it has no subject or something like HI, HEY, WEBSITE, DUDE - it will end up in the pile of crap mail! I end up deleting 100 emails a day because my addy is posted all over the net and I get a lot of garbage, so please make sure your review stands out - I don't want to miss any!

I do hope some of the people who are writing reviews of this show, and the Aussie shows, and the next umpteen European shows will please consider sending them to my email address so I can properly put them on the website, where they can be enjoyed for years by generations. This board may not go on forever, and I'm not comfortable pulling reviews and stuff off here. I might not see one and someone will be left out, or I might post one that someone didn't want posted - that is why I keep asking to have them emailed to me - so I know exactly what you want said and that you want it posted. Thanks.

Yes, I was able to order last night. The first several times I tried to order, all I got was a blank "This page can not be displayed" - not on the order page, but on the whole mail order section. Yeah, this tripped me out. The whole store was unavailable. Last night it did work.
I remember the US release of HCTWC - it was missing an entire song.
I wasn't able to really watch the Sideways in Reverse video on my computer - my connection is slow and things always 'buffer' or whatever it is - they get jerky, pause in between, etc. So yeah, with patience I can SEE the video, but it's not like really watching it. As for the Hit The City video, I didn't even know it was online anywhere. Neither of the videos appears to be getting any sort of promotion here - there appears to be no promotion here at all - has anyone even mentioned how difficult it was to get Bubblegum in the US? Yes, you could order it online from online stores, but people's local record stores were unable to get it from distributors, or they only got a few copies - I'm not making this shit up, people in key cities such as PORTLAND, OR couldn't find the damn thing. I don't know who's job that is, to distribute and promote, whether it falls on the label or someone else, but it's been really sad.
And Jo, I wasn't meaning a personal attack on you. As I said before, you're the ONLY one over there who's ever tried to be helpful. Someone at the UK office offered to send me a copy of the first single, because I posted some info he asked me to post - then it turned out he sent me the wrong info and asked me to take it down in a panic, besides which I never got the single. Someone from the US office has only ever sent me short emails asking me to post links to their site, while never answering any of my questions or even alluding to them.
I started out offering my help and trying to be nice, but no one seemed to give a shit. Someone sent my friend a boatload of stickers and crap, and when she asked if she could do anything to help prepare the venue for when Mark came to town, she was told the 'Street Team Cooridnator' had it all under control. That was patently bullshit - who is this person? Nothing was done!
I have more specific instances of screw-ups and slights that have happened in the last few months, but as you said it does no good to complain to others. it also does no good to complain to the source, either. So I guess I better stop complaining. I just wanted you to know nothing has ever been directed at you personally.

mokkly I am terribly disappointed. I was really hoping my last post on this thread would force you to remind me of how bitter I sound. Because, I am, you know, bitter.

Yeah, I never got the first single because I can't download, and the person at Beggars who said they'd send me a copy never did. Now I go to the Beggars site to try to get the new single, but their mail order page repeatedly gives me errors so I guess I can't order this one either. Haven't seen any of the videos, can't get the singles. Still sorry, folks, but at least people in Europe COULD get stuff from SubPop by mail, including videos. This just all sucks. Enjoy the rest of the concerts.

Mark's label is now Beggars Banquet, which IS a UK based label. He doesn't have a 'US' record company, though Beggars does have a US division, as well as divisions in many other countries. But the 'parent label', in this case, is based in the UK.

a few pics, only one review from the US shows so far - so everyone get busy writing!
Ann is safely back in Stockholm, where she gets to see Mark again in another week or so.

I have a pile of crap mail to get through, but I just got home and wanted to say it was great meeting those of you I met and getting to see some great shows.
Lava - we made it up Mullholland and even saw a small herd of deer, which was cool, so thanks for the directions!
Other non-musical trip highlights: 1 5-hour detour to see some damn big trees, 1 police standoff on the I-5, 1 snowstorm, 1 owl that escaped being on the windshield.
Also: the female vocalist's name is Shelley Brien, NOT Brown, something I am about to go correct in a minute.
If anyone sent me any email and it bounced back, or if you don't get a response in a couple days, please resend it at the end of the week when I've cleared the Viagara ads out of the box! Thanks!

yeah, I have had those dates posted on the site for a while, and some of the venues have actually contacted me to ask where I got them because they have nothing scheduled. I hope someone gets the info soon.

Due to various issues, I'll be leaving tomorrow to drive completely the wrong way, before getting on the road Sunday to the west coast shows that start in San Diego.
If anyone has reviews/other info to send me, please hold off until 21 October or so - my mailbox has limited space, and I'm afraid the junk mail is going to make the good mail end up getting bounced back to the sender! Please rest assured that your email is important to me, and I will answer it in the order in which it was received...yada yada
Hope to see everyone at the shows - everybody who's travelling, be careful and all that, and have fun!
And the San Diego venue is now listing Nick Oliveri as the opening act...

That is a totally different band - from the UK, maybe? They have a couple albums out with songs titles like those, but I've never heard them.

I'm am really sad to see the east coast dates cancelled. But that so pales in significance to the facts of what has happened. Yeah, they are saying he's OK, but he's not OK enough to do those shows. I'd give up the west coast dates in a second for this NOT to have happened at all. I just hope everything turns out alright, and he gets well soon.

That's not a dead dog - it's a sleeping polar bear cub! In the credits section, at the bottom, there is a link to about me. There is also a picture of me at the bottom of this Screaming Trees review - though more importantly, there are good Trees pics there too: www.brysdyes.com/concerts2000/screamingtrees/screamingtrees.htm

I will be there. Last winter we met up at the Pike Place Pub and Brewery as it is conveniently located across the street, but since I won't eat it never matters to me!

I certainly wouldn't mind getting official information sent to me to post in a timely fashion. The advantage to being 'unofficial', though, is that I don't HAVE to wait for anyone to tell me what to do. I try very hard to post only things that are appropriate to a fan site, but in the end I can technically do what I want. I don't need approval for the look of the site - if it sucks, it does, and eventually I'll change it, but it's up to me. Certain standards are expected of official sites, and I don't have to adhere to them, which is nice. But I always try to maintain the quality of the content, because that's what's important in the end.

Hey everyone - no need to reply to this thread, I'm just doing this as an announcement thing:
As a dumb American, I have very little knowledge of some of the places listed in the upcoming Euro dates. I have tried to find links to some of the venues, but if anyone sees tickets going on sale for their local show, please do send me a link (by email, see my signature below!)
If any of the country names, etc, are not spelled correctly, or if there are any other silly mistakes, please let me know!
And lastly, check the Italian dates very carefully. The dates I have on the tours page are DIFFERENT than the order they are in in Beggars Mailout. I have them the way I do because an Italian fan sent me links to the individual shows at the individual venues, and they list them differently! I can't say which is right, so for now I'm going with the venues.
Gracias.

The U.S. can't support more than 12 Lanegan dates? I know, that does seem fairly sucky. I do however applaud the fact that Beggars is obviously willing to support a much larger tour than he's ever done solo before. I'm sure it all has something to do with what HE wants to do, but it's good to know that the label is behind this and has enough confidence to really promote this time. I know I always whine about not getting information quickly or reliably enough, but whining is in my nature. I do believe in giving credit where it is due, and this gi-normous tour is a good thing. Thanks again for all the info Jo!
