Jo, that list of US dates is still missing a bunch which tickets are being sold to. I have to assume those other US dates are real, since tickets are on sale?
I haven't gotten the mail out at all, but I thought the Beggars US site was giving away a signed CD, not artwork? How screwed up am I?

Holy crap. I thought I was the only one who didn't want anything more than would fit in my car! That was how I lived my entire 20's, except I'd maybe mail a box of clothes on ahead to where ever I was going next! Now I allow myself enough stuff to fit into a small one-bedroom house. And I could NEVER, NEVER do without my animals. They have been with me through too much shit.
Thanks for the article!

on the onewhiskey email list. Usually someone who has a show starts a 'tree', everyone mails in 'me too!', and then they organize into who tapes what for whom. And masses of CDs are mailed, and everyone is happy. This usually starts after a tour is over, when the tapers come out of the woodwork!

Lava, the onewhiskey email list has been CD treeing live shows for years, right after the tours are complete. All you need to do is send a blank CD to put it on, so it doesn't cost anything to anyone. We always make a list of people who can copy and people who can't, and everyone gets one. With any luck it will be the same after this tour, although with everyone wanting to upload shows now it makes it tough for those who cannot download.

Those shows that Kylee has up there are right now being offered for sale on Ebay. Some fucknut is trying to make a buck off them, and some idiots are actually paying for them! They are being listed as 'never before available' or some shit - which is obvious because they are bootlegs!
Kylee usually has good stuff up for download, and many people on this board or the onewhiskey email list have stuff they are willing to trade. Don't get sucked in to buying bootlegs, anybody!

I think the drinking age is nation-wide. When I left Buffalo (2 years ago), you could smoke in bars, but NOT in restaurants in Erie County, which is where The Continental is. In Niagara County (Niagara Falls, Lockport, etc), you could still smoke in restaurants.
Yet there is the marvel of the Denny's Restaurants in the Buffalo area - they actually had a smoking room - completely glassed off from the rest of the patrons, with an air vaccuum type thing so when the doors opened to that room, smoke didn't blow out into main dining. Too funny.

I'm sure my ex-husband will be there - you'll have to give it to him instead!

wow - 16 is young. Usually it's at least 19! That's cool though. I hear the place is under new management, and is getting some good shows in now. I WISH I could go, just to get to see Mark play with the people who have listened to me talk about him for years!

yep, 21 in the US. Might be 21 to get in the club, too, but not always

Used to take me a good solid 2 hours to get up to Lee's Palace or The Horseshoe or the El Mo from Buffalo. And don't forget - bars are open until 4am in Buffalo, so you'll need a little extra drinking money to fill in the time.

I can't stand it. All those fuckin' years I lived in Buffalo and hopped a plane out west to go see Mark play live - and now that I've moved to the west coast, he's playing IN Buffalo. Figures. I haven't been to The Continental in years, so I don't know what it looks like now, but it's not huge and it used to have bands downstairs and a DJ upstairs.

I'm not really a goddess, I just LOOK like one.
Heheh - No, really. There are a couple pictures of me on the site, they are older but I still basically look like that. I can describe myself so you can find me at the shows, but it may not help - I'm short, reddish-brown long-ish hair, blue dragon tattoo on the left bicep (the rest you probably can't see on casual inspection). I tend to get there early, and I look confused most of the time. I tire easily and sit on the floor, sometimes attempting to nap against the stage. Until the show starts, of course! Oh - and I am old. I also tend to buy a bottle of water then cling to it for dear life. I'm kind of a freak. A non-descript freak.

I am going. My friend from Sweden is flying in for her vacation, so we are going to go ahead and do all the west coast shows. We will be very tired. But we will be very happy!

We should definitely meet up at the show (Lava and anyone else who wants to!) You'll recognise me - I'm one of those losers who shows up ridiculously early to get a spot in the front when no one else is standing there, because I'm too short to see otherwise! I used to tell people to find me by looking for the dragon tattoo on my left bicep, but hell, everyone has tattoos now!

Thanks Lava - I bought them from the El Rey site too. I knew they wouldn't sell out in 3 hours, but it was making me nervous that I had to be at work when they went on sale, and somehow I'd miss them.

yeah, the Pollstar thing is listing those dates, too. I put them on the site with an 'unconfirmed', just in case. I asked Beggars about it, maybe they can find out more. Maybe.

The dates I have posted came from someone who works at Beggars Germany, and at the time they told me those dates and more would soon be confirmed. however, if you look at beggarsgroup.de, the 2 German dates are listed and crossed out, so I have NO idea what that means.
All I know is that there are now about as many dates in any country that are unconfirmed by Beggars as there are dates they have. Once again they have dropped the ball on keeping things current...

All I was told is 'two guitarists'. I'm sort of guessing it'll be Michael and Brett - maybe drums and bass had another job or something, since they're in Enemy together? If anyone finds out, let me know!

I don't have any extra daze off and I am PO'd about that. What is a poor boy to do? Go to work. Be happy. Eat a lovey lunch. About an hour after lunch - wham - terrible stomach cramps and diarrhea. Better go home early. In fact, better end up calling in the next morning, too, as things still just aren't 'working right'. NO ONE ever questions diarrhea.
