That telescopes fine, you can still see a shit load of stuff. On the Amazon page theirs a 2x barlow lens, definitely buy this and you should be sorted, it'll make a big difference. Nice pic by the way !

Been outside with new telescope looking at the Moon, and I think I might have blinded myself a bit. I know it sounds odd Silence but until you get some filters, use a pair of sunglasses. What kinda telescope did ya buy? Just been nosey...

My 8 inch dobsonian telescope arrived this morning, absolutely buzzing. Mrs Jesus rang me from work to say that she's booked for us to go to the Canary Islands on Monday morn for a week because of all the fookin overtime I did. I thought about it for a couple of seconds, then I agreed. Lovely lovely lovely...

Just found out that some bastard birds have got together and decided to pick my house out of hundreds around me to build a big fookin nest under my roof, they have left a nice big hole in my roof AND I've found out its rain for the next week . Now I don't mind birds, birds are some of my favourite friends but i'm gonna have to buy a shotgun....

Last Rung is my fave at the moment. I agree with you Coma, it does have an early album feel, on a few of these tunes his voice/style does seem to sound younger if that makes sense. I think this will be truly a classic chill out album. Very surprised it would be this good, I thought it would be just ok. I have never listened to any of the album before it was released, I have been tempted through some of the comments on here (and just rolled my eyes at the stuck in the groove predictable). Bring on the tour!!

Not sure if this thread has been done already. Keep it top 5 if you wish, should be interesting and fun. I'll start the ball rolling. 1. The Stone Roses Heaton Park 2012 (can't decide!# 1. Mark Lanegan Leeds Brudenell Social Club 2010 3. Nirvana The Duchess of York Leeds 1989 4. The Smiths Middlesbrough Town Hall 1986 5. The Orb Liverpool University 1994 6. Metallica Whitley Bay 1992 7. Suede Teesside University 1992 8. The The Newcastle City Hall 1989 9. Death From Above 1979 Lowlands 2005 10. QOTSA Newcastle O2 Academy 2008
Well I don't think its my defining top 10#its the ones I can recall# but it got my brain working for a bit. Surprising the ones I forgot about#Nirvana for gods sake!!) that came popping back into me head, probably have to revisit this list next week!!!

Trying to get through the day without seeing one of biggest jokes in our countries history Maggie Thatcher's funeral. I think to many people(around the world) she's maybe held as a great strong powerful women who did a lot for Great Britain? . The thing that pisses me right off is that the media in general publicise that profile. Growing up in the 80s was hard as it was for anyone living in the north of England, she privatised the ultilities meaning bigger bills, she sold/closed British Steel, Swan Hunter and Smiths dock ship yards, ICI and shut down something like 140 out of 145/50 coal mining pits. All these "Great British" companies were based in and around the great north of England and are now gone while she and her fellow arseholes(the MPs) sat back and did fuck all to help , except themselves and their pockets. Now I know you might think I seem bitter and angry and that's because I am, it just seems that in certain areas such as the above seems to have been censored or not discussed anymore concentrating more on the "Great Falklands War" while peoples life at home was absolute shit.
