I have a plan and i need to share this i suppose... here goes: I had one tiny little space in my home that somehow never got decorated, and it's the loo. Well, it did have some sort of errrr style to it i guess... home.orange.nl/robvdbijl/Lungs/plee oud.jpg[/img] Somehow mr. Lungs and i never got round to do anything proper with the walls. So i decided to put nice thick wallpaper up and to stick all sorts of signs of our current life on the walls, as a reminder of having fun while we can So far it's got some pictures up of things we've been doing since mr. Lungs is ill. Also i put a wonderful card Dimples sent me into a frame and did some work on it and it looks just great - exactly the right tone of the life we want to lead until we have to part. I just thought i wanted to share the card cos it is just lovely and hey-ho why not have a Live for the moment-thread... home.orange.nl/robvdbijl/Lungs/kaart d.jpg[/img] Thanks D my dear... your card got to us when we were feeling really really low. Perfect timing

i'm making one of those online-photo-calender sort of things for mr. Lungs I am trying to get it finished before next friday, so i can wrap it and hand it to him when he's in hospital again. We are going to make this next chemo fun fun FUN On a serious note: um, if my talking about his illness is upsetting anyone, feel free to tell me and i'll tune it down. It is just that is it such a huge part of our lives these days that it is in practically everything i do. So because it is feeling "normal" to me, i am talking about it quite openly. If it is hurtfull for anyone, please let me know...

Cheers my dears i am hoping the calender will get here today so i can bring it when we go to the hospital for mr. Lungs' chemo. We always try to make it a fun morning. There's a lady there that has chemo in the same sequences as my husband, and we are getting quite close. She's going to be there too. We'll party like it's 2009

So.... an update sort of thing: Had a fabulous week away from it all in the loveliest place we could have imagined. The people renting this place out made sure we had phone numbers of a trustworthy cab company, a nearby doctor and 2 hospitals in the area, just in case. We didn't need any of the info as Mr. Lungs was doing just fine relaxing but it felt very good to have the info on stand-by. Thanks to my c0mrade i had a great book to read, very welcome and helpful in this whole shitty thing we're going through. So this is where we stayed: and the house from the field behind it: home.orange.nl/robvdbijl/Lungs/Huisje achterkant.jpg[/img] and the gorgeous deer that were just chilling behind the house (mum, dad and baby deer, as close as only a few meters from our windows): What a lovely, lovely stay It is amazing how relaxing things can be if you're only about an hour and a half from home. It was just what we needed. The 6th chemo is now on its way, and i'm seeing my doctor this monday to get more tests on my own physical problems (like quite literally not being able to walk for more than 10 mins on end). BUT we're still here, and we're still grabbing life by the fuckin throat!

update..... update...... update....... With all this chemo going on, i was beginning to think things couldn't really get much worse over here in our little bit of dutchyland. Until i found out last friday that i have to go for another operation to have all kinds of girly bits removed because it turns out something isn't quite right and it isn't quite wrong just yet but if they leave the girly bits in, i have a 30% chance of ..... tadaaaa ..... getting cancer. So october 17th i'm in for a 5 day stay in hospital. They'd better start interviewing for more nurses because i am going to take a minimum of 5 out. One kill a day should suffice. I also heard today that my back and leg pain comes from a hernia. Luckily i do not need an operation for that, or it would have been a mass slaughter of hospital personnel. Tomorrow Mr. Lungs will have another scan. We are getting his results this friday. I am scared more than shitless. Start crossing every limb in your bodies please. I fear this roller coaster ride has only just begun.

Aw, Lungs Thank goodness you don't need to have surgery for the leg & back pain. I mean, a hernia doesn't really seem like a thing one should be thankful for, but thank goodness it's not something worse causing the pain. I am crossing so many body parts for you guys that Cirque Du Soleil just knocked on my door, looking to offer me a job as a contortionist.
