So...the white vinyl is limited to 400 copies and is the "indie exclusive". The red vinyl variant through Heavenly's website was limited to 500 copies (which was just a pre-order bonus for people that complained to Heavenly to make it happen). I don't get what you mean re people complaining?? I pre-ordered and am hoping it is the red one:) So who's doing the white? Obv not Heavenly? Pias (with Heavenly) will release Gargoyle on white vinyl for the US market. Only 400 copies

I Am the Wolf will be published in June 13, 2017 for Da Capo Press (288 pages)
"With a voice that Pitchfork has called “as scratchy as a three-day beard yet as supple and pliable as moccasin leather,” former Screaming Trees and Queens of the Stone Age vocalist Mark Lanegan draws frequent comparisons to wounded masters of doom like Tom Waits, Nick Cave, and Leonard Cohen. But Lanegan's talents aren't limited to his vocal skills. His lyrics are on par with the best of them, exploring with Blakeian insight the stark and scorched emotional terrain that exists somewhere beyond sadness, addiction, trauma, and spiritual longing. Now, for the first time ever, the reclusive singer presents a comprehensive look at his lyrics, the stories behind them, and the making of his albums as well as photos, insights, and ephemera from a long career in rock 'n' roll, I Am the Wolf gives fans a rare and candid glimpse into the inner workings of a living—and singular—rock legend."

This song was written to Layne Staley. He was still alive, but was losing himself in his addiction... Goodbye my friend I hate to see you go
Anyway Mark said: It's actually about Layne Staley and was obviously written while he was alive. Kurt's death happened so suddenly, right out of the blue. It wasn't expected. But Layne had a really long, slow decline. Both of them were real close friends of mine. I lived with Layne for quite a while and I wrote that song about him after I'd gotten clean and he was still using.

I've never seen a picture of an Istanbul test pressing and the fact that it's listed as the normal Istanbul show and not as a seperate release on Discogs... but perhaps I'm wrong, someone with a huge amount of extra money could buy it and prove it to us. the price is ridiculous ...some months ago on Discogs I bought the Dark Mark Does Christmas's test pressing from a Lanegan's musician...

Can some one tell me if Duke Garwood is playing with Mark on the current dates? The reason I ask is the Berlin CD is called "The Night Porter - Plays Imitations And Black Pudding With Duke Garwood And Friends at Passionskirche Berlin October 25, 2013", so maybe the reason it's not on sale at the minute is they are only going to be selling at the dates he's doing with Duke? At least thats what I'm hoping as I really hope it's not sold out! I bought the Berlin cd last July at Pistoia Blues Festival where there wasn't Duke... The way they're selling the live CDs is totally random...

Yes! Now it's on iTunes! Anyway stunning track! Much better than the tracks on NBOS (keeping out Jonas Pap which I consider one of the best Mark's track ever). It's on US iTunes? I'm on iTunes now and it's still not available for download. Glad to hear it's another keeper! sorry wheels I was talking about EU iTunes...

It's probably not unfair to say that Phantom Radio will be Mark's most divisive album to date, and by a long way. A lot of people will really like it. Quite a few people may not. Silence, tell us more on PR!

The Phantom Radio's cover album is the painting assemblage "Santa Muerte" by Gustavo Rimada.
