Wow. $48 minimum to mail a $50 single? ($93 if you want to track it) Scary.
EDIT: did 60 hours overtime last month so bought it anyway

I'm trying to find out, as we're trying to source a copy for review. Doesn't seem to be any UK PR dealing with it though

Tenebrous Liar is photographer Steve Gullick's band - they've got a new album out (the cut) and it's great. Last saw them onstage opening for Soulsavers & Josh T Pearson in 2007 (Steve was also in the headlining band too)

I'm a big fan of Pye Corner Audio & Not Waving anyway, and in the absence of roping in Boards of Canada or Leyland Kirby* it's a pretty decent list *would be lovely if LK let the Caretaker loose on Mark's acoustic stuff, but he's in the process of killing him off

Be nice if this gets an official release like the "Vinyl" OST.. June 9 if Milan Records' tweet just now is anything to go by.

They're a bit of an indie Boston, and this new one is in places. The track that Mark's on is stompy & fun though (and I I didn't recognise his voice on the first run through) and the whole thing is pretty cool. As with the last album, a whole bunch of interconnected videos will be out nearer the release date.

Mark appears on J Macsis & friends' Sing the Night in Sorrow, out on the 28th of July. The kinship extends beyond band members. Enter longtime friend, Mark Lanegan, who duets on *World I’m Gonna Leave You*– a surging stomp with an ominous guitar riff that imagines leaving death and its ghosts behind. It includes a haunting harmony-filled chorus that pairs Petkovic with Robert Pollard.

Am sat here doing a course where I'm expected to speak, and I'm really struggling. Memories of two very specific, very important gigs are filling my head right now, might ask my editor to indulge me a bit this evening, if only just to clear my own thoughts.

LOL, why is it "unconstructive"? Because it's unfavorable? No, because it's not really constructive. Reviews don't have to blow smoke (and they shouldn't) and there'll be plenty of actual unfavourable reviews that I'll happily agree with, especially in certain regards, but I've never found stuff that opens with sweeping insults to be any more or less interesting to read than Simeon pointless screaming how something's the best thing ever. Still, they got their ad clicks and that's the main thing.

Ah, clickbaiters gonna clickbait. Can't understand these unconstructive reviews, as all it'll do is ensure that the site gets nothing else from the PR again. It's not even comically destructive, as it just stops mid-rant... Don't remember any whoos either (and he has form with these anyway, so heaven forfend he enjoys himself). There's a "la la la la la la la" (think that's all of them) in Drunk on Destruction, but that's oddly in context.

No huge surprise given that promo CDs are currently being 'redistributed', but as I'm fairly sure these are watermarked someone somewhere's going to end up in a load of shit...

The State 51 people who are doing the distribution are pretty good at timing postage so UK releases arrive on the day. Not sure about international ones though.

I have to say that "Perky" to describe Emperor is my favourite description so far Although it's also nice to see that G&B agrees with me that it's also Jaunty.
