She Loved You remix here - this one's probably more of an indication of what the rest of it sounds like, although I'm not sure what the 'typical' track is as they're all different. Which reminds me, I'd better get a bit of a shift on cool! i like this one. the tracklist in the article has a couple altered song names. (dark disco jab, stitching it up)... do you know if these are typos or intentionally renamed?

it isnt much different. same recording but without the whistling intro, so that makes it kind of noteworthy. there are also 2 versions of Burning Jacob's Ladder. The original video game version and the B-side of the Gravedigger's song are slightly different, but I don't think they were ever distinguished as being different. I think I found videos for the 2 variants on youtube. hopefully i didnt screw up and post the same one twice www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfuIFo_pNDIyoutu.be/798zILCchRw

Svirone; So there is a QOTSA remix on the Saw II soundtrack that you may be interested in. It is "Burn the Witch" - UNKLE variation. I haven't listened to it closely enough to determine if Lanegan features in the background somewhere. I own the CD but probably only listened to it once.
Cireme; This list of your is really incredible. It looks like you have only listed songs once, so if they are duplicates (like Methamphetamine Blues on multiple albums) you only list it once. I was going to point out that the "Hype! Soundtrack" version of The River Rise is different from the album version, but this is probably not relevant.

youtu.be/mOdgfLkOpnkAnother unreleased Screaming Trees song, this one is called "The Right Combination" and is from 1993. If people are still interested in this stuff, Gary Lee Conner is definitely worth following on facebook.

spoiler alert: Alain Johannes' new one is a fucking masterpiece thanks for the heads up on this. i've been a fan of his since way back when he joined Chris Cornell for his first solo album. but somehow couldnt get into Spark until sometime in the last few years. Spark is brilliant by the way. here is some info on the johannes album: www.folkradio.co.uk/2020/07/video-alain-johannes-hallowed-bones/

Hi all my fist post on here - I post on fb a lot though ! is this the song > www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_BeYzh-DaM Interesting photo - is the scar by his elbow a result of that heroin abscess he talks about in the book I wonder? Not the most amazing introdution to the board but hey ho ! yeah thats the song. i'm not sure what the deal with that photo is, I have seen it around this forum for ages and always assumed it was a photoshop done by a fan. I dont recall ever seeing the original though if it was done by a fan. welcome aboard!

it is truly sad the state of the world in some places. I was discussing with my wife today how racism was an issue being discussed when we were in junior high school back in the early 90s, and not much has changed. We are lucky, we live in an area where there is not a lot of racism or crime. We educate are kids about racism (we are caucasian) and how important it is to stand up to racism and not tolerate it. violence of any kind is terrible, but it is even more terrible when it is motivated by skin color.

despite the obvious title of "this game of love" i hadnt considered that it could be about kurt and courtney. was just reading another book where courtney was quoted as saying "as serious as a heart attack" when i thought it was likely. changing the quote slightly seems to suit mark's style.
anyone else have any thoughts on this song or others?

i wonder if they came to terms with rod doak? he still owes me $50. I am very sorry that this whole thing happened. I am glad that Sean has apparently got his money back. Buying from a bootlegger is a risk. One of the reasons we never put out much unreleased stuff is that most of it has been lost. I was thrilled when I saw that Rod Doak had all this material. I hadn't heard any of it in years. However instead of letting us have it and put it out or just listen to, he decided to get greedy and try to make a bunch of money (if he sold all that stuff probably $20,000) for himself, ten bucks would have been more appropriate. Rod was a very good friend, supporter, road manager and sound man for the the Trees and all I can say about this is a complete betrayal of that friendship. For anyone that thinks anyone in the Screaming Trees as rock stars, at least speaking for my self, you are dead wrong I think I'm just a normal person who likes to write songs and make music and was luckily enough to be in the Screaming Trees for a few years. We all were very fortunate to do what we did and creatively and artistically it was a dream come true me. As for making money off our music was always very elusive, even when we were on Epic Records. Nowadays we see nickles and dimes here and there but at least Van and I have to have real jobs to support our families. Van is going to put out more old Trees rarities on Strange Earth Records, I don't know if it will include the bootleg stuff because I don't know if we can get it from Rod Doak. Most of it should probably just be on You Tube for free because much of it looks like demos and out takes or stuff I wouldn't want people to have to buy. However I think there is at least a single albums worth of stuff that would be worthy of release on an actual record. (although I think almost all of it is from a cassette recording so that quality can not be too good, the lost album master tapes were reused by the studio they were recorded at and erased. Music is about art and creativity, money and greed just get in the way. Many Happy Returns, Gary Lee Conner

it struck me kind of funny when mark gets threatened with a 6 week tour of canada if he doesnt get clean. outside of the big cities he describes canada as a heroin free country without a reliable source of dope.
to this day, he literally never plays shows in canada.

I did a lot of digging to get information on this Friday's Glasgow gig. Still no emails from organisers or Ticketmaster and event on Facebook is unchanged with tickets still on sale for Friday. This really is an unacceptable way to do business. . this is crazy. show is obviously not happening. they should be reported and maybe fined if they are still attempting to sell tickets to a show they know isnt happening.

listened to the audiobook, it was fantastic. reading the ebook version now.
found it funny that there is a chapter titled "house of pain" and mark talks about hanging out with everlast. i wonder if it was around that time that everlast recorded his unreleased version of dollar bill, and whether the trees have ever heard it
