The same guy who recorded video of about half of the excellent Cherry Bar gig from last year recorded probably 75-85% of the show last night including all of the Blues F. songs. Lighting was dim and red but hopefully his video comes out a treat. There was at least one other guy professionally video recording the shows.
Great show as expected, killer set list, bring on Sunday.

Wellwater has the pleasure of informing y'all that Mark will perform an exclusive performance to reopen the Ding Dong Lounge in Melbourne on 6 July.
This is of course the venue he played at in 2004 which is depicted in the now famous poster as shown in my avatar.
how fucking awesome, thanks Mark, thanks Ding Dong!!
My only fear is that this might be invite only... hope not.

Great to see Mark back in Melbourne with the full band tonight.
He was on fire to a reasonably full 1,500 person venue.
His vocals on Sleep With Me, Crawl Space, Bleeding Muddy Water were sublime then he stepped it up a gear and sung a killer rendition of Quiver Syndrome.
The whole band was really tight and while not jumping out of my skin leading up to the show, would've loved to see another show or two on this tour.
Thanks again Mark.

Had a quick go at this on the acoustic and it sounds correct.
Standard tuning with capo on first fret.
A.........F#m............E...........D
Repeat that sequence throughout.
also worked out St Louis Elegy but gotta run, will put up in a few days.

Being in full band mode It would be a buzz to hear Jacob's ladder and the always full throttle Skeletal History and Jesus' Program.
also as others mentioned, hearing LExington Slow Down would be a great moment, no doubt.

I've made a start on the lyrics.......feel free to add/subtract/alter/suggest anything (my hearing really ain't as good as it used to be ) Harborview HospitalI walked by Harborview Hospital I heard the Agnus Dei Oh Sister Of Mercy I've been gone too long to say And all around this place I was a sad disgrace They're singing, they're singing Way up on the hill They're building, they're building A mystical union beautiful and still But down here in the dirt Say it doesn't hurt The devil's ascended Upon some crystal leaves(?) In the city the lightening Spreads a cloud of butterflies and fiends With a vacant stare A needle(?) flower there They're riding, they're riding Ahead(?) and down the hill They're sinking, they're sinking Into the ocean beautiful and still And yet it's hard to me ________________(?) I walked by Harborview Hospital And stopped at ____ and Jane's(?) Oh Sister Of Mercy Have I been down too far to say Are they supposed to be As sick as you and me It might be "upon some crystal wings" I hear Crystal Wings too. I hear as you heard in the first verse Second verse last line I hear "YOU Say it doesn't hurt" Third verse I hear Crystal wings in the first line and the 3rd line sounds like SPLITS THE cloud of butterflies and fiends. Then it sounds like he sings I lay the flower there. Fourth verse "yet it's hard to LEAVE" but that last line has me stumped As for Jane's in the last verse, it sounds like 'dined at jane's or dived in chains or perhaps wellwater needs some sleep. nigh nigh.

He sounds great...but I gotta get into this music a little more. Very U2-ish?! He sounds great and very U2-ish were the first two thoughts that came to my mind too after first listen.

Josh would have been understandably annoyed with Lanegan and Oliveri later leaving the band, without their true talent he could only spew forth Lullabies and that other appropriately named era vulgaris.

Just bought tix to Chris Cornell acoustic in Cleveland. ;D Just saw Cornell play acoustic 2 nights back to back in Melbourne. Both shows were highly memorable, he was on fire, and treated us to some very rare tunes. You will no doubt enjoy.
